You'll soon discover that the name of this new blog has nothing really to do with former Detroit Tiger Kirk Gibson. It doesn't really have everything to do with baseball. I have always been fascinated by the names that authors give their books and musicians give their albums.
The naming process is pretty cool. How does one determine what to name their son or daughter? Or, worse yet, name their son when they were expecting a daughter ... I think names are cool. I named this blog Whatever Happened to Kirk Gibson? because it was the title of an article in a way-long-ago issue of my favorite newspaper, The Detroit News.
What will transpire here, hopefully, is my first real, honest attempt at writing a young adult novel. I'll post a few hundred words every day or so ... and I need your feedback to see if it's going anywhere.
